Join us for a snow-shoeing day trip on a commonly travelled route from the parking lot of Alpental Ski Area to beautiful Snow Lake.
We plan to meet at 5:30am at a location tba in/near Seattle to carpool up, then we'll drive up to the parking lot at Alpental Ski Area.
We will snowshoe up from the ski area's parking lot to Snow Lake, a hike that climbs 3100 vertical feet. We will break for lunch either on the way, or at the lake, before heading back down to our cars. It promises to be a beautiful and challenging trip.
If you wish to rent snowshoes, we will pick them up and drop them off for you. Purchase a ticket ($23.50) If you own snowshoes, you can select a free ticket, and it will cost you nothing.
Please note that Snow Lake can be avalanche prone, so if the conditions are dangerous, or even questionable the trip may have to be re-located or cancelled. That call will have to be made on Friday night.
